Glenn Holland leaves "Stars of Tomorrow" staff for new opportunitiesHILLIARD, OH - The Champ Car Stars of Tomorrow national karting series announced today that Glenn Holland is leaving the company immediately to pursue new opportunities in racing media and marketing. Holland, of Diamond Bar, Calif., served a director of communications and marketing for the Champ Car Stars of Tomorrow since 2002 after establishing himself as national karting media representative for many years. "This is a difficult time to have Glenn leave us and he will be missed," said Paul Zalud, Cart Stars Director Of Operations. "I see Glenn as a personal friend and wish him and his family the best in the future. I appreciate all that he has contributed to this organization and we are better for it." Holland's ownership interest via E Enterprises, LLC, which also owns the popular Ekartingnews.com karting website and eRacingoutlet.com racing products store, is unaffected by his departure from Stars of Tomorrow. "Karting and the 'Stars' concept is close to my heart and one on which I've spent a great deal of time and effort," said Holland. "I believe I have helped push the awareness and packaging of karting higher and have strong hopes that can continue. I want to thank the great people of Snap-on, RACER, Bridgestone and CART as well as our other sponsors for their support of our promotional programs. I have met many great people as a result of this endeavor, and I will be thrilled to soon see a Bobby Wilson, Jason Bowles or Kevin Glover competing among the very best in the world at the top levels of motor racing." Key personnel within Stars organization will expand their roles of responsibilities. Kevin Williams will be responsible for regional development as well as some national operational roles. Williams will remain as our National Race Director. Scott Evans' role of National Tech Director will remain but also will be expanded into a regional role of support. Announcements for all of Stars 2004 series will be coming out very shortly. Tom Blattler will continue to assist in the Stars media relations program and the upcoming Stars Karting Championships in Fontana, Calif. Any marketing inquiries should be directed to Paul Zalud at paul@cartstars.com, or office 425-673-4346. The Champ Car 'Stars of Tomorrow' presenting by RACER karting series is the official first level in CART's driver development system and an officially sanctioned series of WKA/SCCA Pro Racing. Founded by racing star Bryan Herta and now owned in conjunction with a group of racing veterans, including three-time CART champion and Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal, the Stars of Tomorrow serves as the first step for the CART driver development ladder. Stars focuses on recognizing the skills of the drivers rather than the technology development within the machines, using FIA/CIK International standards.
