    2003 SKUSA Supernationals to be televised

    DUBLIN, OH - For the first time in its seven-year history, the SuperNationals will be nationally televised on SPEED CHANNEL. Howard Lipkint, HSL Entertainment (X-Karts Racing Series) has confirmed that a deal has been secured with the Fox/NASCAR owned network to broadcast the 2004 SuperNationals being held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel in Las Vegas on November 13th - 16th. "This is a very exciting time for SKUSA, this event and the sport of Kart Racing" says Lipkint. He adds "Securing the TV deal demonstrates the commitment that SKUSA has to this sport and our ability to take Kart Racing to the next level". Jim Murley, SKUSA President, couldn't hold back on his enthusiasm "For the last six years, the SuperNationals has been the premier Kart Racing event of the year. Now, we can showcase the best drivers in the world to the nation on SPEED CHANNEL." Murley states "The new management structures along with our dedicated workers are starting to pay the dividends we all anticipated. And believe me, this is only the beginning."

    The SuperNationals has demonstrated a tremendous growth since its inception. The atmosphere of Las Vegas and the Rio Hotel makes this one of the most exciting and picturesque events in Kart Racing today. Historically, drivers who attend this event get to compete at the highest level which allows SKUSA to showcase the excitement and talent associated with the sport of Kart Racing.

    Murley states "This years event is proving to be bigger and better that any of the previous SuperNationals. We have received a tremendous response to the steps that we have taken to improve this sport and to enhance its visibility. There will also be some major surprises announced over the next couple of weeks relating to the SuperNats that will greatly enhance our promotion".

    Memo Gidley, one of the original designers of the course layout being utilized at the Rio, will also return as one of the television broadcast team, which will also consist of James Bates and Jamie Little. Howard Lipkint says "The television production for this event will be second to none. All production personnel know that this event and television show will be all about the racing." Lipkint adds, "While the exact air dates and times are still to be determined, we do know that we have been guaranteed a minimum of -3- network airings, with the initial airing to be broadcast on Christmas week."
