    Northcutt wins Mechanic Race

    LAKE VILLAGE, IN - The mechanics got a chance to show their talents as they competed along with the regular kart program Sunday afternoon at Lake Village Motor Speedway in Lake Village, Indiana. Cool weather and some rain didn't stop the action as Rookie Purple racers kicked off the day. Tyler Trainor notched another win as he won the first heat race over Steve Warren and Brett Shoemaker Heat race two had points leader T.J. Flynn as your winner over Brett Shoemaker and Tyler Trainor. The feature was exciting as Tyler Trainor grabbed another feature win over rival T.J. Flynn and Brett Shoemaker. A post race engine tear down was performed on Tyler and after a complete tear down Tyler was declared the winner.

    Rookie Blue charger Brock Shoemaker held on to win the first heat as Joe Rish and Mike Warren finished m the second and third positions. Heat two action found points leader Joe Rish winning again over Mike Warren and Brock Shoemaker The feature race was a familiar sight as the #J4 machine of Joe Rish took the win over Mike Warren and Kyle McKinney. A cold track in practice found Chris Karlin and team driver Jimmy Hansen spinning in turn 6 into the fence. Both karts would return to action as Jimmy Hansen won the first heat over Chris Karlin and Sam Geeding. The second heat was incredible as Jimmy, Chris and Joe Lucas all battled behind leader Sam Geeding. With victory in sight going into tricky turn 7, Sam's #38 kart suddenly went up on two wheels and into the tire barrier hard ending his chance at the win. Jimmy Hansen was the winner over Chris Karlin and Joe Lucas The feature was all Jimmy again as he made it a clean sweep for the day over Chris K.arlin and Joe Lucas.

    Stock Heavy racer Chriss Northcutt won the first heat and gained some points on second place Wayne Frome. Wayne answered back with the win in heat two. When the checkered flag fell in the feature it was Wayne Frome the winner and now the points leader. The mechanics raced as brother Andrew Northcutt won the first heat. over David K.euhns. Andrew showed his experience as he was once again your winner in the second heat. The feature was exciting as Andrew and Fritz Dorge battled it out exchanging the top spot several times. Fritz finally took the lead for good and won the feature. Andrew Nonhcutt was the overall winner.

    Banquet tickets are now on sale for December 13. The deadline to purchase tickets is November 30th. Finish Line squares will also be sold at the end of the season so reserve your piece of asphalt history.
