JM Racing's Scott Meadow finishes second in Formula Dodge 2-Liter Race at SebringSEBRING, FL - JM Racing, Avanti factory driver, Scott Meadow, 20, from Anaheim California, finished an impressive second in the first race of the 2003 Skip Barber Formula Dodge Southern Series in Sebring, Florida. Meadow was also impressive in practice and qualifying on an unfamiliar track, turning times half-second off the track record. Meadow started second in the first race, battled Brazilian Victor Ramos for the win in the early part of the race, but didn't have an opportunity to pass for the lead. He finished second, well ahead of third place. In the second race, Meadow qualified third, battled for second throughout the race, but an off road excursion dropped him to fifth at the end. This was Meadow's second weekend in the 2-liter Formula Dodge cars; he did two events at Laguna Seca last year. Meadow, who is racing in the Cart Star's of Tomorrow Series in ICA plans to continue in karting next season as well as racing in the 2-Liter Formula Dodge Series. Racing at Sebring was in preparation for the Skip Barber Karting Scholarship, in which 4 karters win a season in the Cart National 2-Liter Formula Dodge Series. Scott will next race his Avanti-Parilla ICA in the cart Star's of Tomorrow Championship Finale at California Speedway, as part of the King Taco 500 on November 1st and 2nd. |
