KLS Racing confident for 2003 West Coast national racing openersSONOMA, CA, - After rigorous months of testing in the off season, KLS Racing, with factory drivers Alex Speed and Gary Carlton, are set to contest both the opening rounds of the 2003 west coast national racing scene. Pulling double duty in both the CART Stars of Tomorrow and SKUSA ProMoto Tour, KLS Racing is poised to continue their reputation as one of the sport's leading race teams. Beginning with the CART Stars of Tomorrow opener in Buttonwillow, California, KLS Racing's factory team are considered by many to be early favorites for the championship. Alex Speed, a 2002 SKUSA ProMoto race winner, has tested extremely quick in preparation for the events. Gary Carlton, fresh off a podium finish in the SKUSA ProMoto eastern opener is also among those touted for success in the two series. Team owner, Scott Jeffery was very optimistic for the upcoming races. "After the numerous strides we've made in the off season, I feel very good about our chances," remarked Jeffery. "Alex Speed and Gary Carlton are two of the sport's best drivers and I'm confident they'll find their way to the front." The first of two events is scheduled for April 25-27, 2003 in Buttonwillow, California with the opening round of the SKUSA ProMoto West Coast Championship slated for May 9-11, 2003 in Sonoma, California. |
