His business resume includes the following quote from an unknown author "Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It's a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. It's so simple - yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend." Syd White of Salinas, CA has been elected Swiggart's successor as President of the IKF effective March 31, 2003. He has been involved in kart racing since 1984, as a driver, crew chief and official. He was appointed to the IKF National 4-cycle Tech Committee in 1996. In 2000 he was named Chairman of that committee. When asked to comment on his goals while President of the IKF he replied, "IKF has the obligation to take an active role in directing the future of the expanding sport of karting while remaining sensitive to its loyal membership." Jim McMillan of Crowley, TX has been appointed to serve out Swiggart's term as a Director on the IKF Board. He has been active in IKF since 1994 and participates in the Shifter and Road Race Divisions. He has served on the Shifter Advisory Committee and currently serves on the Road Race Advisory Committee.
