Winning Hospice 24 team to receive $10,000 prize package JACKSON, MI - The winning team of the inaugural HOSPICE 24 on July 19-20 will receive a prize package worth over $10,000 - including VIP hospitality at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Michigan International Speedway ­ race organizers have announced. The HOSPICE 24 is a unique, 24-hour go-kart race to benefit the Great Lakes Hospice Foundation and is part of the RaceWeek Fesitival of Events. Teams or individuals will drive identically prepared high-performance go-karts on the combined oval/road course at Jackson Speedway, one of the newest and best go-kart facilities in the nation. The event will feature close, wheel-to-wheel racing along with the endurance and strategy of a 24-hour race. "Thanks to the generosity of some of our sponsors and supporters, we're able to offer an impressive prize package for the winning team," said Tommy Cameron, executive director of the HOSPICE 24. "The prizes will be consistent with the theme of the event - the opportunity for everybody to have fun while raising money for a great cause!" The prize package includes: A trip for 10 to Indianapolis Motor Speedway via the Extreme Entertainment Motorcoach to watch the Brickyard 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series practice on Friday, Aug. 1, 2003. Included in the package are VIP suite tickets, pit passes, admission tickets, food and drink. Tickets and pre-race hospitality for the Michigan Indy 400 IRL race on July 27, 2003. Included will be the chance to get your picture taken in Winner's Circle along with other winners of RaceWeek events.
