"Big Splash" for Mother's Day celebrations at Lake Geneva RacewayBy John Nuttall That Sunday Brunch doesn't seem so bad now." said a to be nameless crew chief/dad standing in the concession stand line. The top notch Jr III class was disheartened not to get a chance to show their stuff in front of a local racing hero. Next race on the Burris Circle Tour is May 25th at Rockford Speedway. The featured events are the Burris Twin 50's. The Precision Racecraft sponsored 4 cycle Senior Lite Class and the Briggs and Stratton Motorsports 4 cycle Junior III Class will run 50 lap features on the high banks of Rockford Speedway. This is one of the most exciting events on the Burris Circle Tour Schedule. 50 laps is a full fuel load for a Briggs and Stratton 5 hp engine. The race is more like a endurance race than a speedway sprint race. Many racers from the other senior classes will move to the Sr Lite Class to try and steal the Burris Twin 50 title away from the Senior Light guys making the Burris Twin 50 fields some of the biggest of season. |
