North Texas Karters turn up the HeatBy Janice Bond of PR2DAY "We're proud of our Club," says Rod Heslor, the President of NTK. "We have about 262 members made up of guys and gals ranging in age from 5 to 40+ years. We have one main goal, and that is to enjoy clean and competitive fun. Sponsorship of the Club comes from such names as Maxwell Paper Products, Margay/Bridgestone Racing, KAM Karting Supply, Kart Connection, Motorsport Sales, Dynamic Trophies & Awards, Freeburn Track Grinding, and Panda Embroidery. We appreciate what each sponsor brings to the track, and are grateful for their many contributions to the Club." NTK is located in Denton, Texas off I-35 and Memory Lane, and attracts racers from as far away as Oklahoma. It is a family-oriented club that provides an opportunity for karters of all ages to socialize, compete and just have a good time. The Club produces many talented and skilled racers, including Brandon Irwin, who made the jump from karting and caught a ride in the IRL series in 2001. The track provides back straight grandstands, concession trailers, track lighting and gravel parking lots, making it comfortable and enjoyable for all. NTK's 2003 season starts Sunday, March 1 and runs through November. For more information about NTK and their schedule of events, visit their web site at www.ntkarters.com. Come on out and see the races, or better yet, join the Club - you'll be glad you did! Polar Bear #4 Results: |
