The Avanti heritage stems from a proven winner in European shifter kart competition. Last year the Avanti sister chassis, which runs in Europe under the DC-One banner, dominated the shifterkart-racing scene in Europe. The experience gained by winning the 2002 French and 2002 Italian National championships and leading the 2002 European Super ICC series until the final round where a delaminated tire relegated Alessandro Piccini to third place in the final point standings has translated into the Avanti 003 we know today. "The chassis we are offering here in the US is very much like the Kart that ran in Europe last year. With minor changes that we feel will better suit the US market I expect the Avanti 003 to be extremely competitive in 2003," said Jean Marchioni. Needless to say the Avanti 003 has the right pedigree. Having used TM Engines to power all the experience gained in Europe, Jean Marchioni has decided to offer the ultra powerful TM K9 engine for the Avanti 003 here in the U.S.A. "Part because of my personal background and part because of the relationship that already exists between our factory and the TM factory it is only natural for us to offer the best 125cc ICC and 100cc ICA engines available," added Jean Marchioni.
