IRA welcomes Margay.com, Intrepid Kart and Burris Racing as 2003 title sponsors
ANTIOCH, IL - The International Racing Association (IRA) is pleased to announce Margay.com as the new series title sponsor of the 2003 Championship Enduro Series (CES). This year's CES schedule consists of seven races at seven different tracks across the Midwest. Presenting Sponsor of this venerable long-track series is again the official publication of the IRA, The Inside Track "America's Karting Newspaper".
"We would like to express our gratitude to Margay racing products for their support and urge you support them in kind. We are happy to announce that for 2003 the CES will combine with the Mid-States Super Series (MSSS) in four events that will be points for both series. In keeping with the spirit of cooperation CES has aligned its class structures with MSSS for the 2003 season," said Mr. Larson.
Numerous new developments and improvements are in store for the 2003 Margay.com Championship Enduro Series along with the tried and true structure that participants, their crew and spectators alike have enjoyed in the past.
A fresh new import, Intrepid Kart will be the title sponsor of the IRA's Pro Shifter Series for 2003. The Intrepid Kart Pro Shifter Series will run in conjunction with the Margay.com Championship Enduro Series events at the end of the day on each respective Friday. This one-of-a-kind, long-track professional shifter kart series offers two 125cc Pro classes for qualified drivers. The SK 125 class for the Moto engines and the ICC 125 class for the Intercontinental C series engines. As in the past, this year's CES will offer supporting classes within on both Saturday and Sunday.
"Bridgestone YHC will be the spec tire for the Intrepid Kart Pro Shifter Series in 2003. Generous payouts and year-end awards are again part of the program and continued close competition is expected throughout the season," Mr. Larson reported. This series promises to be "where the action is" for shifter karts in the Midwestern United States. Intrepid Kart is imported nationally in the U.S. by Champion Racing of Norman, Oklahoma and PG Racing of St. Louis, Missouri is the supporting dealer within the CES.
Mr. Larson added, "We are also excited to welcome both the SKUSA (Superkarts!USA) Great lakes region and the SKUSA Mid-America region to this years CES for five of the season's seven races."
The SKUSA Great Lakes Region will conduct their point's races in conjunction with the CES at the Grattan, GingerMan, and IRP race venues. The SKUSA Mid America Region will conduct their point's races in conjunction with the Gateway International, and Blackhawk Farms race venues. SKUSA classes will compete on Sunday afternoons within the CES schedule and the CES also offers classes on Saturday for the SKUSA driver's to compete in.
Representing the IRA in the speedway oval division is the Burris Circle Tour, a cornerstone series within the Burris National Speedway Series. The title sponsor Burris Racing returns for the sixth consecutive year to the Circle Tour, the premiere oval track series in the Midwest. The Burris Circle Tour is again presented this year by R.A. The Burris National Speedway Series promises to bring together many speedway series from across the nation, both pavement and dirt, consolidating them into a national point series. The International Racing Association is proud to be affiliated with Burris Racing in this effort. The Burris Circle Tour opening race is at Lake Geneva Raceway on April 27th and will again make return visits to Illiana Motor Speedway and Rockford Speedway throughout the action-packed 2003 season.
