Stallion moves to new location
PORTAGE, IN - Stallion Racing Products has moved into a brand new facility in Portage, Indiana after a devastating fire at their previous location nearly two years ago. Because most of the inventory and molds were destroyed, everything has been replaced. By making new molds all of our bodywork will have outstanding fit and finish.
Started in the 1970's, as a result of the need for quality aerodynamics in karting, the company was a mainstay in the karting industry through the late 1990's. What began a hobby and the need to improve Steve's own pacing advantage turned into a hi-tech aid for the professional and average karter as well. "I have always loved the sport of karting, that's why I design and make the products I do." Said Steve Huffman.
Stallion Racing Products will be adding many new products to their already proven line of bodywork. The Thunderbolt, Blackbird, Tomcat, Mon-O-War, and Enduro lines are still available and better than ever. The Man-O-War has been updated to be available in 36" and 38" wide noses. Steve Huffman also said "in the past all of our products were geared towards road racing, but now we are branching out into Sprint Racing as well as Oval Racing". "We are really looking forward to designing new products for this fast growing racing market," said Steve.
All of the fiberglass products are made with reinforced fiberglass and specially blended polyester resin that is all hand laid. The exterior finish is made of gel coat, which is actually a laminate of the part. This guarantees a finish that will not peel or rub off and is more durable and scuff resistant than paint. The company has also acquired a state-of-the-art vacuum-forming machine that will enable them to also produce many items in a high quality plastic. "I'm very excited about our new line of plastic products, and looking forward to providing the karting world with a high quality and well fitting bodywork."
Stallion Racing Products is back in business and ready to serve all of your karting needs. Why 'ride a pony' when you can ride a "STALLION." For more information call Steve at (219) 764-FAST (3278) or you can fax orders to (219) 764- BODY (2639).
