SONOMA, CA - Cameron Motorsports Management announced today the opening of its new, expanded karting operation, including a retail center for Italkart chassis, Parilla and 125 TM ICC engines and MIR Racewear. The web site for CMM's new karting division can be found at www.cameronkarting.com. Components to repair damaged or worn parts, as well as development pieces to upgrade the performance of existing Italkart chassis, are also available.

"The link between Lynx and karting has always been strong, and now it takes on a new dimension," says Steve Cameron, head of CMM and team manager of Lynx Racing. "We've always chosen drivers for the Lynx program who have a strong karting background, and we require them to keep current with their karting activities even while they're competing for the Atlantic championship. The new Cameron Karting division, brought about through our association with Michael Valiante and Italkart, allows us to bring the newest and best karting technology to racers, both those on their way to a career in motorsports and those for whom karting is an end in itself."

Michael Valiante, who drove the #19 Lynx Racing Swift 014.a to three wins and finished second in the 2002 CART Toyota Atlantic championship, is a principal of Italkart, and has been heavily involved in the testing and development of the latestgeneration of Italkart racing chassis. Made of TIG-welded, chrome-moly tubing and custom-designed hardware, Italkart sets the standard for quality in racing karts.

"Karting, whether testing by yourself, racing with your buddies or competing at an organized event, is the very best way to hone your skills to a professional level and keep them there," says Valiante. "Everyone at Lynx and Cameron Motorsport Management, from management to engineers to mechanics, races karts. And with the new, world-class karting facility at Infineon Raceway where Lynx and CMM are located, we're all racing several times a week and constantly improving and developing the Italkart line."

Among the Italkart products sold through CMM is the Parilla Leopard class kart, a 125cc, water-cooled, non-shifter kart that is an ideal entry-level class for racers interested in developing and maintaining their skills. The Leopard class karts are very reliable, making them economical to operate.

Italkart and Cameron Karting offer a full line of karts for every skill level and age of driver, including the Supersonic 125cc, Velocity 100cc, Rapido 80/100cc, Elite 100cc, Cadet, 4 Cycle and the Baby Cart for young drivers. All Italkarts are built to the same high standard of competitiveness, quality, durability and low operating costs.
