2002 SuperNationals live HDNet TV footage goes on sale in VHS

DUBLIN, OH - Over the last 60 days much editing work has been contemplated in developing video offerings of this event in both VHS and DVD formats. While there are strong feelings about editing available footage into special "shows" on a class by class basis and potentially a "Best Of" version, it is clear, by the many phone calls that the first thing SKUSA needs to do is offer the entire 6 hours initially.

Production is almost complete on the initial order and delivery is expected in the next 10 days. The footage, by virtue of itıs content, fills two VHS tapes. Down converted to standard definition, Saturday's three hour show is on one tape and Sunday's three hours in on another. While either of the days will be available individually, both are offered in a two tape package at a savings.

These professionally reproduced tapes are packaged in a specially designed "commemorative" jacket and suitable for over the counter sales. While individuals need only download the order form to prepare to place an order, kart shops may contact SKUSA National for special orders. Order forms will be included in membership license envelopes or may be downloaded from website and/or faxed to individuals that call and request them.

The content of these tapes is "as broadcast over the air" with no edits beyond the removal of the "network" black space where actual HDNet commercials were inserted in the broadcast. All SKUSA commercial were delivered as "built-ins", or part of the show and are fully intact. The object of this phase one is to deliver the entire broadcast, from beginning to end.

SKUSA owns an extensive library of unique shifter kart racing footage and is still working with major Sports Networks for a regular series of shows. Knowing the exciting content of this library and the significant events it covers, SKUSA is now working on special packaging of 30-60 minute, class by class and "best of", video tapes to offer through SKUSA website sales in 2003. These products will be joined by many other special SKUSA products from key chains to unique apparel.

SKUSA plans to discuss unique product development opportunities with several SKUSA National "Star" personalities over the next few months. This concept will serve to develop strong shifter kart "star personalities" that are essential to the development of a strong fan and spectator base. Additionally, selected individuals will gain by the improved individual recognition that is essential to their career development.
