Complimentary circulation set to launch new publication at three major venuesTORONTO, ON - With its launch plans released to the racing community last week, the staff at FormulaCar Magazine has been working overtime. The official release date has been set for the week of the '12 Hours of Sebring' in mid-March and the team's focus has now turned to production and distribution of the inaugural edition. Over 4000 complimentary magazines will make the trip to Sebring for free delivery to the sport's enthusiasts. The opening rounds of the U.S. FF2000 Zetec Championship, Star Mazda National Championship and the Skip Barber Formula Dodge National Championship will provide a perfect launch platform for this exciting new publication. "I'm really looking forward to the launch of FormulaCar and with so many free issues set for distribution, I can't wait to gauge the response," offered FCM editor and publisher Rob Howden. "I believe that we're going to bring a great deal of excitement to the junior formulas, helping to educate the racing community on personalities and stories that they would not be aware of otherwise." In order to provide effective coverage of the formula car community for the magazine's debut advertisers and supporters, the FormulaCar Magazine promotional team will hit three major events in March, June and July to bring the magazine to the racing public via massive complimentary distribution. At each of the races in this trio, FCM will distribute over 4000 free issues. The Sebring launch will put the publication in front of a paddock full of consumers and a grandstand packed with enthusiasts. June's target event will be the annual SCCA June Sprints at Road America which will also coincide with festivities celebrating the Formula Vee 40th Birthday Party. The Molson Indy Toronto will hold the date in July as Issue #3 is released at this hugely popular street circuit extravaganza. With both the Fran-Am and Canadian Formula Ford Championships joining the Champ Car World Series and Toyota Atlantic program on the schedule, this will be heaven for formula car aficionados. For those not able to pick-up the premier issue of the publication in Sebring, the inaugural magazine will also be available for those not able to attend the annual Florida event. Interested readers are asked to simply e-mail the FCM staff with a request to have their name placed on the mailing list for the inaugural edition. FormulaCar Magazine will focus on the 'junior' formulas of the sport and will position Formula Ford 2000, Fran-Am, Star Mazda and Barber Pro Dodge as its headline programs. Additional coverage will also be included for the Canadian Formula Ford Championship, Valvoline Pro-Vee Series, Bridgestone F2000 Racing Series, Skip Barber Formula Dodge National Championship and the USAC Formula Russell Championship Series. SCCA National and Regional competition will be highlighted in each issue and the FCM team will be front-and-center at the annual Valvoline Runoffs at Mid-Ohio in September. Six issues are planned for 2003 and pre-launch subscriptions will become available on February 14 when the magazine's website (www.formulacarmag.com) goes live. Companies looking for advertising information are asked to call an FCM advertising representative at MMP Design (616-836-2180) to obtain our media kit. |
