Skip Barber renames popular scholarship program in memory of the late Hollis Brown.

LAKEVILLE, CT - Skip Barber Racing is pleased to announce that it will name one of its Barber-Champ Car Karting Scholarship Program recipients each year in memory of the late Hollis Brown.

Hollis was instrumental in the development and implementation of this program since its inception in 1997. Successful racecar drivers that have been part of the program over the years include Ryan Hunter-Reay, Michael Valiante, Bryan Sellers, Patrick Long and A.J. Allmendinger, as well as many others.

Skip Barber Racing is proud to name Benny Moon, 19, of Shingle Springs, CA, as recipient of the Hollis Brown Memorial selection for this year's Barber-Champ Car Karting Scholarship Program. Benny will compete against several other outstanding karters in a two-day run-off January 4-5, 2004 in Sebring, FL, with the opportunity to earn one of six available scholarships to race in the 2004 Formula Dodge National Championship Presented by RACER magazine.

We trust that this scholarship opportunity will stand as a memorial to Hollis Brown and his family, as a testimony of their love and devotion to the karting and motor sports community.
