Cabin Fever Special rocks at CCKS STANTON, KY - After a long winter, the weather finally changed for the better. What a perfect day for racing! The racers were ready to get going and it showed with over 100 karts turning out for the first event of the season! Check out who had their stuff working: Larry McMahan had his worst nightmare come true back during the ice storm that swept through Lexington - fire destroyed his shop, where $70,000 worth of inventory was destroyed. The racers turned out to help Larry get back on his feet by participating in the KKP Benfit Race. It was the closest and hardest fought victory of the night. An excited Kenny Adcock said it best, "Larry has been there for all of us through the years, it is time for the kart racers to be there for him." Chauncy Darling (#5) also took his first feature win of year and of his career in the Stock Medium feature! He took the lead away from Deam Kemp with two laps to go, as Kemp's #45 ran out of fuel. He held off a hard charging #8 of Derek Kiser to take the $200. The next race at Clay City Kart Speedway is the Speedway USA KY Challenge on June 14th.
