ThunderHill sees huge turnout for mid-August races MENOMONIE, WI - One of the biggest fields of karts this season assembled at Thunder Hill Speedway on Saturday night as Dunn County D. A. R. E. presented the last night for racers to accumulate season points. It was also a night that two father-son duos won feature events I their respective divisions. Jeff Reetz scored a flag-to-flag victory in the Stock Medium Division and then watched his son, Scott, lead the last three laps of the Junior I Feature for his second win of the season. Scott Goettl earned his fourth victory of the year in the Senior Sportsman Main event while his young son, Dylan, posted his initial win in the Novice Division. In other action, Eric Becker made a clean sweep in the Winged Outlaw Class by winning both heats and outclassed the field for his second feature win of the year. A.J. Roschen earned his second consecutive Junior II victory, Ryan Smith led all 12 laps of the Junior Sportsman Feature for his fifth victory of the season and Justin Supri posted his third triumph in four weeks by winning the Stock Light Main. Steve Alton captured his first Stock Heavy Feature of the year, Mike Keller made it two in a row in the Blue Wazoom Division and Kris Glenz earned the top spot in the Powder Puff Race.
