Path Valley Kart and Quad veterans win By Walt Cox SPRING RUN, PA (August 30, 2002) - Veteran riders dominated the Burris kart and quad racing Saturday at the Path Valley Speedway Park as points leaders Cory Burhman of Chambersburg and Dane Delancey of Port Royal raced away from bigger than usual fields in the two classes of quads. The four-wheelers packed in to practice for that evening's AMA motorcycle and quads district 6 points race. Burhman in the four-stroke and Delancey in the two-stroke have both lost track of how many wins they have. Sage Lyman of Duncansville in the Jr. Sportsman I class won in only his second visit to Path Valley. A rookie to the class, he won by a good margin as regulars Zack Fouse and Alex Benda swapped spots back and forth with Troy Cunningham and Frankie Peters to finish second and third, respectively. Kart and quad racing continues next Saturday with regular points races in all classes and a Fall National feature on the schedule for the adult "boxstock" classes. Burris Racing sponsors Path Valley kart racing and Path Valley is a SpecTrak in the Burris Tires BNSS sanction. The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown.
