Path Valley Kart Wins to First-timers By Walt Cox SPRING RUN, PA (August 17, 2002) - First time winners were the rule as nearly 100 kart and quad riders descended on Path Valley Speedway Park Aug. 17 to practice racing for Sunday's PDKA State Championship Series races. Most of the junior and senior 'boxstock' classes had a dozen or more riders and the caged classes had increased entries too. Pete Neuder of Chambersburg, son of veteran racer Aaron Neuder, won his first feature in the caged rookies kart class. Regular kart and quad racing continues next Saturday, August 24, with gates open at 10 a.m. and racing at noon. The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike. The new phone number at the track for promoter Ken Geesey is 717-349-7111.
