    • IRA/IKC run tests at IRP road course
      Dave Larson, President of the International Racing Association (IRA) in a quest for a new challenge for the Championship Enduro Series drivers scheduled this test date to test the safety and difficulty in scheduling a race date next October at Indianapolis Raceway Park's road course driving the track in opposite direction. That's right! Backwards! Indianapolis Raceway Park re-paved portions of the back section of the track.
    • Track Champion at age 7
      What's the saying "I want to be like Mike"? Not for seven year old Jacob Zellmer, he wants to be like Matt, Kenseth that is, and he's on his way. Racing karts since his 5th Birthday, Jacob has been on a racetrack well over 250 times. Unlike many children who change their mind each time they are asked what they want to be when they grow up, Jacob has been firmly in the grips of a pro racing goal.
    • JM Racing releases new 2003 Avanti
      After 30 years in Karting, Jean Marchioni of JM racing has finally decided to introduce his own Kart. What makes this kart so special? Thirty years of karting experience, but more importantly, fifteen years of experience in America. The JM Kart is especially tailored for the American tracks and American series' with Italian flair.
    • Season Finale at Mid-State Raceway
      The final points race of the year was run at Mid-State Raceway this past October 13th. Due to cold weather, entries were kept minimal, but the racing was kept hot. Point battles were decided as well as the many great battles that lasted all year. For the first time this year, all the adult classes had to take notes as the five to eight year old kids demonstrated perfect starts all day. The Kadets also qualified for the first time this year with Bradley Brittin setting quick time.
    • Kessinger/McCormick "Endurance Kings" of the Fall Classic Endurance Sprint Race at Mid-State Raceway
      Endurance races have always been said to separate the men from the boys. Or maybe the strong from the weak? In any case, it provides a battleground for those only worthy. To be considered worthy you must possess such qualities as consistency, patience, and overall speed. Mid-State Kart Club held the Second Annual Fall Classic Endurance Race which hosted fourteen of the toughest Sr. Supercan teams from around the Midwest.
    • KLS Racing/MBA Signs Alex Speed For 2003
      KLS Racing and MBA officially announced today the signing of Alex Speed to drive for the Vacaville, CA based shifterkart-racing team. Speed will join rookie Gary Carlton, SKUSA Western Zone S1 Champion, in the SuperPro class for the 2003 on board an MBA chassis.
    • Winning the SCCA's Formula Mazda National Championship in September was great for Bach and B-K
      It was confirmed today that Saukville, Wisconsin's Jamie Bach will be honored on Friday, January 10, 2003 at the Wisconsin Motorsports Charities Banquet in downtown Milwaukee. Bach will be awarded the 2003 ROAD RACER of the YEAR award.
    • Speedwerx Motorsports Racing opens new storefront location
      Speedwerx Motorsports Racing (SMR) recently opened up a new 4,400 sq. foot kart dealership storefront thirty miles north of the Houston Metro area focusing on bringing karting to more people. The new facility, located in Conroe, TX has over 2,200 sq. ft. in showroom space alone. The large windows also make it visually accessible to passers-by.
    • 'Rahal Group' assumes helm of Stars of Tomorrow, CART expands involvement
      Three time CART champion and Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal and a group of associates have acquired a majority interest in the CART Stars of Tomorrow karting series to join founder Bryan Herta in growing the top-level series.
    • Ron White wins Stars of Tomorrow Grand National
      Ron White of San Jose, California captured the Grand National victory in the ICC class of the CART Stars of Tomorrow presented by Snap-on.com in Las Vegas, Nevada. White's lightning start was made a bit easier by the disqualification of pole sitter Lorenzo Mandarino for non-approved tires prior to the start of the race.
    • Baltzer takes ICC win in Round 4 of the WKA/SCCA Constructors Cup Championship Series
      Craig Baltzer wrapped up the 2002 WKA/SCCA Constructor's Cup ICC National Championship today with his win in the final round at the North American Karting Championships at Lowes Motor Speedway. Also, by winning both of the internationally recognized events on the calendar (Road America was the first) the Skip Barber Karting Scholarship driver also earned the 2002 CIK North American ICC crown.
    • Stickley earns "King of Milford Streets" bragging rights
      ZT Racing Engines powered Mike Wilson Kart pilot Bob Stickley, of Baltimore, MD bagged a pair of 2-cycle wins on the streets of Milford, DE during the 10th Annual PNC Bank sponsored Milford Street Race Presented by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Milford October 19-20. Stickley was the only driver of the record 170-entrees from the US and Canada who earned more than a single win.
    • 12th Annual Dirt Indoor National Karting Championships to be televised
      Jam Promotions, Inc. proudly announces that the Uni Select Network of Parts Plus Dealers sponsored 12th Annual Thanksgiving weekend National Indoor Dirt Karting Championships will be filmed and televised by Victory Film Productions. Victory Film Productions will produce six half hour long shows that will appear on the Sun Shine, New England Sports and Junior Motorsports networks.
    • Martel Motorsports tops ISMA teams at F1 Boston
      It was a wet rainy Columbus Day weekend which put a damper on the ISMA Super Modified race at the Seekonk(Mass.)Speedway. But, several ISMA drivers and crew members took in the weather-proof F1 Boston Go-Kart complex on Wood Rd. last Saturday night, October 12 in the First Annual F1 Boston Classic.
    • New rules could open Formula One doors for American drivers
      American drivers may get a chance to test Formula One cars on the opening day of practice of next year's United States Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That prospect is one of the positive aspects created by the new F1 rules package for 2003 that the Formula One Commission confirmed Oct. 28.
    • Illinois gains new statewide dirt kart series
      Next season will bring light to the new Illinois Dirt Series. This statewide dirt series is in the works and 2003 will be the inaugural year. This will be an eight race series and as of right now it looks like six tracks will be hosting events. The main goal is to have eight races at eight tracks.
    • 2002 International Kart Show
      Now in its fourteenth season the INTERNATIONAL KART SHOW is considered to be one of the world's foremost Karting Industry tradeshows. This year it moves to the new International trade center in Telford, England located approximately 30 minutes from Birmingham and will be held on November 23 & 24.
    • A KGB Agents First Year in S1 - "Vegas, Baby, Vegas"
      The Superkarts USA, Las Vegas Supernationals put a cap on a trying rookie year of S1 competition. With all the practice and preparation put in I was ready to go out and win. Unfortunately, I did not have Lady Luck on my side. With motor troubles being the deciding factor in my race weekend, my practice was spent dealing with extreme motor problems.
    • Miller capitalizes on CASCAR racing opportunity with a second place debut
      Michigan native, Marc Miller, completed his first ever CASCAR race on Sept. 25 at the Ottodrome Speedway in Ottawa, Canada with a strong second-place result. After signing a testing program deal with RaceSportz Tide Racing for this year, Marc Miller was given the opportunity to race the car for the first time.
    • Chad Hartzell joins MRP staff to oversee RotaxMax programs
      MRP Motorsport, North America's largest importer and distributor for Birel and Freeline Products, continues to grow with the addition of Chad Hartzell to the staff. Hartzell will oversee the promotion and development of MRP's RotaxMax division.
    • 9TH Annual NAKC captures Karting action in a variety of forms
      Lowe-s Motor Speedway near Concord, NC was abuzz with a variety of kart racing action during the ninth Annual North American Karting Championships held November 1-3. From the always-exciting Briggs & Stratton 300, now in its tenth year, to the new WKA/SCCA Constructor's Championship the event drew kart racers from 25-states and Canada to compete in a variety of karting forms.
    • Honda conducts initial IRL engine test
      Honda Performance Development, its technical partner llmor Engineering and Andretti Green Racing successfully completed the first on-track test of the new Honda Racing H13R Indy V-8 engine yesterday at Miami-Homestead Speedway.
    • SKUSA SuperNationals Non-Pro Champions crowned at Rio
      The 2002 SKUSA SuperNationals Pro Champions were crowned Sunday at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Racing on the 7/10th mile Memo Gidley Signature Circuit, the "Singer Racing" G-1 Finals began the final day of the sixth annual SuperNationals.
    • SKUSA SuperNationals Pro Champions crowned at Rio
      The 2002 SKUSA SuperNationals Pro Champions were crowned Saturday November 2nd at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Under sunny skies and ideal weather conditions, the "McGrath Motorsports" Pro 80 cc junior Finals got underway on the 7/10th mile Memo Gidley Signature Circuit. From the standing start, Brady Halbasch, of Woodward, Calif., passed the polesitter, Alan Sciuto.
    • Megenbier and Team Terror head for Vegas
      After an outstanding weekend in Batavia, NY, clenching the World Karting Association's National championship, Team Terror Inc and their young driver Tim Megenbier Jr. headed to Las Vegas, NV for the prestigious Superkarts! USA SuperNationals.
    • Announcing Tony Kart America and Nevoso Kart
      We would like to announce that Driving Impressions, the OMP importer for the United States, has been added to the Tony Kart family of US importers. Driving Impressions plans to launch the Tony Kart program in January 2003. They will carry the full line of Tony Kart chassis and Vortex motors.
