Speedwerx Motorsports Racing opens new storefront location CONROE, TX - Speedwerx Motorsports Racing (SMR) recently opened up a new 4,400 sq. foot kart dealership storefront thirty miles north of the Houston Metro area focusing on bringing karting to more people. "By moving to this location, we have gone from two to three customers a day, to averaging sixty," said Sam Cooper, SMR owner. "Karting is well known in certain circles, but we felt we could have such a larger impact in an area accessible to those who may not have been exposed to karting before. Now it seems for some people, a whole new world has opened up for them in motorsports." For the past two years, SMR had been operating in their own warehouse facility. Although the business did quite well, it did not offer enough exposure to the general public, so they moved to a new location. The new facility, located in Conroe, TX has over 2,200 sq. ft. in showroom space alone. The large windows also make it visually accessible to passers-by. "We have been getting dirt bike racers to NASCAR fanatics to Christmas shoppers in the short time we have been here, said Cooper. "We have recently added more staff to offer more efficient customer service. Our goal is to promote karting in the Houston area and give it the exposure and professionalism it needs to be as respected as other forms of racing."
