Martel Motorsports tops ISMA teams at F1 Boston

BRAINTREE, MA - It was a wet rainy Columbus Day weekend which put a damper on the ISMA Super Modified race at the Seekonk(Mass.)Speedway. But, several ISMA drivers and crew members took in the weather-proof F1 Boston Go-Kart complex on Wood Rd. last Saturday night, October 12 in the First Annual F1 Boston Classic.

Team Martel out of Ipswich, Mass. led by Keith Martel won the event. Keith is a former Super-Modified driver and he still manages to coach his son's (Scott) efforts on the various oval tracks in the northeast, Mid-west, southeast and Canada. In fact, Scott showed his prowess on the indoor track by posting the fastest lap of the night just edging out Jon Gambutti of Montville, NJ and Lou Cicconni of Ashton, PA.

Other ISMA drivers that were among the competitors included; Chris Perley of Rowley, MA, Jamie Timmons of N. Andover, MA, Mark Sammut of London, Ont. Canada, Ryan King of Petersham, MA, Greg Furlong of Fulton, NY, Jennifer Chesbro of Oswego, NY, Bobby Seymour of Marlboro, MA. and Dan Drinan of Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to having two indoor circuits at F1 Boston, the company opened F1 Outdoors on Rt. 18 in E. Bridgewater, Mass. F1 Outdoors is a very quick and fast three-quarter mile road course. Both venues are an Arrive and Drive experiences. Everything is supplied, the Go-kart, fuel, maintenance, racing suit and helmet.
