The Launch of Two New 'E' Companies

MARCH 5, 2002 - With an expanding range of opportunities, the founders of Ekartingnews have announced the formation of two new sister companies. eRacingoutlet will handle duties as the coordinator of the SoCal Rotax Max Challenge series and as the regional Rotax engine distributor for southern California. Meanwhile, eRacingvision, in addition to providing website design/hosting services and marketing/public relations consulting, will soon release a karting video project produced in conjunction with Brian Lockwood Productions, Inc.

The creation of the two new companies stemmed from the desire to pursue business goals which are not entirely consistent with Ekartingnews' dedication to providing information to the karting community in an impartial fashion. To that end, Ekartingnews editor/president Jeff Franz will have no involvement in either of the two new entities.

"It was paramount that we address what might be construed as a conflict of interest," commented Franz. "The function of Ekartingnews as an objective news entity will not be compromised. The two new companies have distinct, ambitious business goals, and it would not be ethical for those to become intertwined with Ekartingnews."

As president of the newly formed eRacingoutlet, Brian Stiver issued the following announcements regarding the immediate future.

"In our region, we have participated in the Rotax Max Challenge program since its inception," commented Brian. "And now, when the opportunity became available to take on the Rotax distributorship and implementation of the regional series, we decided to make that move. Simply, it is our intent to make the MyChron3 SoCal Rmax Challenge a whole new experience for the recreational karter. Our regional drivers will compete for rewards and prizes that exceed $10,000 in value, and given that six of our seven races will be run in conjunction with the KRC Cup series, there will be a schedule of just four class races on our event days."

With the need to keep the three 'E' companies on separate operating levels, Glenn Holland has left the Ekartingnews roster in order to push forward with the eRacingvision project.

"We're aiming to increase the presentation, exposure and marketability of karting," stated Holland, president of the recently founded company. "Public relations, series promotion and marketing, plus website design and hosting are just some of the services that eRacingvision offers. Our first project is to put the final touches on a ground-breaking karting video; it is an undertaking that we entered into with Brian Lockwood Productions, Inc. Look for it to become available around April 15th, 2002."
