Karting distributor taking progressive approach to enhance return of retail outlets

THREE OAKS, MI - MRP Motorsport, North America's largest importer and distributor for Birel and Freeline Products, has put in place a dealer structure that aids in the development of stronger, more successful kart retailers.

Garry Lobaugh, MRP President and owner, has built a successful business platform for MRP Motorsport making it easier for current and new MRP Motorsport dealers and kart retailers to financially excel.

"With 15-plus years of experience in this business, we have been through it all," said Lobaugh. "The mistakes and successes we have been through is immediately passed along to our dealers so they don't have to go through that. Karting is a tough business, so we do our best to help our customers with any management aids they may need."

One of the largest aids MRP Motorsport puts in to effect is their unmatched inventory of over $500,000 of karts/parts on hand. Overall, this makes it easier for full time karting retailers and shops to stay in business, moving product and satisfying the needs of their customers when it is needed and without the wait.

This support can also be seen with MRP Motorsport promoting their product line on a National level, through advertising and promotional projects so that dealers will not have to put forth a large advertising budget, allowing them to focus on their region. MRP also puts a National level race team together for promotion, at-track customer service and product testing, with all information passed along to MRP dealers. Not having to expend a large racing budget makes it easier to focus on a dealer's important local and regional racers.

"We don't expect dealers and distributors that purchase through us to spend all of their income doing our job," said Lobaugh. "We help in any way we can to make our kart retailers and their respective regions a strong and healthy karting region."

MRP Motorsport dealers find themselves faced with a much smaller learning curve and continuing support. To keep up to speed, MRP also distributes regular dealer newsletters with information regarding new product updates, specials, price updates and national promotional information.

The results so far have been very promising, through proper management and working together, dealers have found more return on their investment with less expenditures. Interested parties may contact MRP Motorsport at 1-616-756-9133 or online at www.mrpmotorsport.com.
