Bedford and Blair riders dominate Path Valley Karts
By Walt Cox Claar started sixth in the main event Motor Race and had to pass both DJ Holland and Matt Dalesio for the win. Holland, 13, who finished second, was the days top racer with wins in the Junior Stock and Junior Restricted classes, and young Dalesio, of Imler, had beat Claar earlier in the day in the regular Heavy class feature. In other action Nicole Eaton of Mill Creek continued to dominate the Sr. Champ caged karts with her seventh win of the season, and Amber Lyter continued to win in Kid Karts while Alex Benda won his third consecutive feature in Jr. Sportsman I. Andy Burkholder of Chambersburg won the medium feature in a hard race ahead of Brad Thomas and Dalesio. Altoona sports personality and mascot Jeff Fochler picked up his third win in a row in the Extra Heavy class after winning his heat race out of third place and earning the pole for the feature. Troy Imler of Imler won for the fourth straight time in the Open karts class.
