    Find Speed at Racing School!
Have you been missing that apex in turn 3 nearly every time? Does it seem like the competition is passing you accelerating out of the corners like you are tied to a stump? Do you wonder where all the speed in that other, "duplicate" machine comes from? Well, the answers may be hiding under an instructor's toupee at the EnduranceKarting.com Friday Racing School. Geared to an adult audience, the Friday Racing School is fun, fast-paced, hyper-informative about racing in general and focused on enriching your EnduranceKarting.com experience.

Like the Kids Racing Camp, the program is separated into entertaining, short, restricted classroom sessions followed by trying out your new information on the track under the watchful eyes of our professional instructors.

We make a point of having a good time, however, this is no undemanding pat-'em-on-the-back, pseudo-instructional program. It is a hard-core racing school to get you up and running as fast as your experience, hand-eye coordination and intestinal fortitude will allow.

With lots of seat time combined with personal instruction, followed by more practice and closing with a Mini Endurance race - including a driver change - you'll have a pretty good measure of your skills by the time the checkered flag falls on the day. You'll have fun pushing your personal envelope to new boundaries and you'll gain great self-confidence, as well. It may be the best $395 investment in racing. Hurry, there's only two spots remaining at Elkhart Lake, July 5th.

    Before-The-Race Information
What to bring - Personal Checklist Here it is. What you have been waiting for. It's the final information you will need before attending the EnduranceKarting.com Road America 500. We want you to have fun and enjoy yourself racing with EnduranceKarting.comŽ so we have put together a little checklist of items you may want to bring to enhance your experience with us.

WATER. THE number one thing to bring on a hot day in the beauteous Wisconsin countryside is WATER. Dehydration is a danger anytime you are doing anything strenuous but add a helmet and a driver's suit and you will be poaching in your own fluids before you get to practice. WATER is best. Sports drinks are good, too, but colas and soft drinks are much less desirable for the body's liquid replenishment. Oh, did I say WATER was important?Aside from the physiological fact that ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES both dilute the amount of useful fluid you take in and accelerate the dehydration process by acting as a diuretic (causing you to urinate away the liquid that was going to hydrate you), for our feelings on alcoholic beverages, see below under "FORFEITURE," and "EJECTION."

INSECT REPELLANT, SHADE AND SUN BLOCK. It'll make those memories in the days immediately after the event, much more pleasurable.

LARGE PLASTIC BAGS to store everything you do not want to get wet in the event of rain so you can concentrate on and enjoy the thrill of driving on slicks in the wet. Yahoo!

RAIN GEAR. If we are graced by rain, it will make the waiting times between the Yahoos much more bearable.

FOOD and yes, MORE FLUID in case the track stands run out of brats and ice.

CHAIRS: You will need them when you rest between driving stints.

DRIVING GEAR: You will be required to race wearing a full-face, Snell 95 or better rated helmet; neck support; abrasion-resistant jacket and clothing; gloves (preferably leather); and closed-toed shoes. Not allowed while driving: Thiin or cotton jackets, shorts, short-sleeved shirts, sandals or loose-fitting shoes. You are welcome to bring your own driving gear. However, if you don't have the appropriate equipment, we have an equipment trailer on site, which can supply your needs at a nominal cost.
    Helmet w/balaclava: $10.00
    Karting Suit: $10.00
    Jacket: $10.00
    Neck Collar: $5.00
    Gloves: $5.00
Rib Protector (optional, but strongly recommended to save rib soreness): $10.00
    Elbow protector (optional): $5.00/pair
No reservations are necessary in advance for personal gear. SEAT PADDING: Although conformed somewhat to the roundness of the human body, the G-forces and undulations of the racing surface will cause some chaffing and wear on bodily areas not normally used in this manner. A little well-placed padding can go a long way toward avoiding mid-race distractions and post-race stiffness.

    OPTIONAL, EXTRA GOODIES!
    ENDURANCEKARTING.COM RACEWEAR
Really good-looking Endurance Karting T-shirts and hats (10 measly bucks each) are available to memorialize the exciting day you will be having at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex. Wearing this stuff will sucker your friends and relatives into asking the question that will let you brag for hours about your great drive!

    PHOTOGRAPHS
Digital images will be taken throughout the event and will be available for immediate viewing and purchase in the spectator area through the professional racing photographic agency, Moto Photo, who also can be reached at 617-901-3845. VIDEOSCandee Productions will also be shooting throughout the event for an hour-long video available by ordering from them at 800-950-2305.

Really Important Stuff Like FORFEITURE and EJECTION
No alcoholic beverages or controlled substances are permitted anywhere on track premises at the risk of EJECTION and FORFEITURE of your entry fee. Obviously, drivers deemed under the influence will not be allowed to compete and will FORFEIT their entry fees.

    FINALLY
Remember. Racing is a sport of skill, patience and, above all, smoothness. You can't win a 7-hour race on the first lap but you sure can lose it there. And despite what you may have heard from some, it is not a game of bumping, pushing, or intimidation. The best drivers are known for how little they telegraph their intent before they pull off that pass that leaves the defeated drivers shaking their awe-struck heads, thinking, "How DID they DO that?"

With your help, this will be a great event with memories to share far into the future. As we are on the road, please call us at 704-655-8329 if you have any important questions.

    Lime Rock Results
It was a hot one at Lime Rock as 27 teams attacked Lime Rock Park's "Butterfly" infield course for 6 hours through an unclouded, sunny New England day. The Endurance Karting racers roared around an impressively smooth race course from the top of the hill inside of LRP's famous Uphill turn, toward the bottom fast right handers and back up through a very upsetting lefthander to the top of the course again. The search for a less abrupt line through the transition point in the uphill left hand bend continued most of the day. Several teams were able to reduce fatigue on themselves and the karts by finding those smoother spots and using them to their advantage, even though they appeared to be off-line. And several teams (to remain nameless) learned that there were limits to what even an EnduranceKarting.com kart (and its driver) can take, causing a mid-race red flag to check motor mounts and add precisely-placed seat padding. With refueling accomplished, the teams took the green and motored on, some floundering to finish the full, bone-jarring distance, in spite of sore ribs and wrists from battling the bumps. It was a long but successful day as the teams took the checkered flag to whoops and general merriment among their teammates and a vow that this visit to the historic Connecticut racing facility would not be their last. No less than four teams re-upped on the spot for the next EnduranceKarting.com visit, October 26. And with the August 10 Stafford Springs 400/8-Hour in between, October's Lime Rock appearance promises to be the most competitive, ever.
We can't wait. Don't miss it!
