"WKC's Novice Kart School to be February 23, 2002"

JANUARY 13, 2002 - The Woodbridge Kart Club 2002 Novice School will be held 23 February 2002 at AllSports Grand Prix, in Dulles, Virginia. The school is for individuals new to karting and for those karters new to road racing or who have been away awhile and want a refresher. The school will provide information on how to perform basic maintenance on sprint and laydown enduro karts, safety, practice and race procedures, etc. The emphasis will be on racing safety. Attendees must be members of WKC prior to attending the school. A small fee will be charged for the driving portion of the school. Drivers under the age of 18 need to have a WKA license to drive at AllSports. Notebooks and writing tools should be brought to the school to supplement the handouts.

10:00-12:00 WKC Novice School
12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00-1:30 Classroom on WKC club details
1:30-2:00 Driving School Classroom session
2:00-3:30 On-track driving school
The agenda is subject to change, but the course will start at 10:00am.

AllSports Grand Prix is located at 45915 Maries Road, Dulles, VA. Telephone number is (571) 434-9570. From the 495 Beltway around Washington DC, take the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) West. Get off on the Route 28 exit heading North. Go north on 28 for 2-3 miles until you come to Church Road. Turn right on Church Road and follow it for about 3/4 mile to the first stoplight (Cascades). At the stoplight, turn left on Cascades. Follow Cascades for about 1 mile to the last road on the left (Maries Road) before the first stoplight on Cascades. Turn left on to Maries Road and go to the far side of last building on the left.
