"Inaugural Track & Club Workshop at Kart Expo" WHEATON, IL - Producers of Kart Expo International will hold an inaugural Kart Track and Club Workshop on February 22, 2002, one-day prior to the opening of the 10th annual trade show. The insightful and comprehensive workshop will be held at Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center in St. Charles, Illinois. In response to the requests of many in the karting industry, this far-reaching program has been designed to educate and assist the over 725 kart tracks and clubs in the US. It includes the following topics: Race Director Responsibilities Insurance and Pit Passes Track Communications Safety, Flagging and Corner Workers Emergency Medical Technicians Rule Making and Enforcement How to Handle Tech Sponsorship and Marketing Scheduled speakers include the following national and international authorities: Thomas Argy Jr. - National and International Race Director, NASCAR Official Earl Clement - National Race Director Scott G. Evans - National Tech Director David Larson - President, International Racing Association John Nuttall - President, Raceway Karting Association Sue Nuttall - Marketing Manager, Large US Retailer Robert Cycon - President, Silver Star Expositions The fee-based workshop includes all necessary materials, a catered lunch and certificate of completion and is open to all track owners and club officials and members. The instruction session will be held in conjunction with Kart Expo International, North America's premier kart racing show, February 23-24 at the same location-Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center in St. Charles, Illinois (West Suburban Chicago).
