Leading tool maker lends support, television to karting seriesKENOSHA, WI (August 7, 2002) - Stars of Tomorrow founder Bryan Herta announced that Snap-On.com has assumed the role of title sponsor for the national karting series. Snap-On.com is the Internet presence for Snap-On Tools, a leading professional automotive tool company. "I am extremely pleased with the addition of Snap-on.com as our title sponsor for the Stars series" said Herta. "It's a privilege to be associated with a two billion dollar company and one that is so committed to motorsports. Snap-On recognizes the huge potential in karting and the attractive demographics of the sport. It is a perfect fit for the products they offer." Along with event sponsor status for next week's Stars national race at Road America, Snap-on.com will also sponsor a television production for the Stars Grand Nationals to be held November 8-10 at the XPLEX Las Vegas in Sloan, Nevada. "The inaugural Stars of Tomorrow race was broadcast on Speed Channel back in 2000 and the response was tremendous" Herta continued. "There's been a lot of talk about getting karting on television and we are very pleased to again be the series that gets it done." The Stars of Tomorrow national program has three events remaining on the schedule. As mentioned, the karts will run along with the Champ Cars August 17-18 at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America in the CART Stars of Tomorrow, presented by Snap-on.com. Another national race has been added to the schedule in Chilliwack, British Columbia on September 7-8. Then, the season-ending Grand National event will be held in Las Vegas on November 8-10.
