TALLAMADGE, OH - The Nervo/Coggin Racing Chassis company has recently announced a name change to the N-C Chassis Co. and will produce karts under the Rage Kart Division. Nervo/Coggin Racing, a well-known quarter-midget manufacturer, has been producing oval karts for nearly three years. They have now combined their kart production into their 50,000 sq. ft. Tallamadge, Ohio facility along with their quarter-midget, junior dragster, and ATV productions.

The Rage Kart Division is headed up by Jeff Hoisington. They produce three oval models, the Rage Silencer speedway kart, the Rage Nitro Sr. Champ kart and the Rage Nitro Jr. Sportsman Champ kart. All models are designed to race on both dirt and asphalt oval tracks. They also produce sprint and oval chassis for Comet Kart Sales.

They now have twenty-two employees and expect to go to double shifts soon to keep up with production. They hope to produce up to forty karts a month this year. The addition of karts was a natural progression for the company given their experience of producing small oval racing chassis. The technology learned from quarter-midget manufacturing and racing directly transfers to their kart chassis and has allowed them to quickly produce high quality and competitive karts.

Rob Nervo, President and CEO of Nervo/Coggin, "strives to produce the best chassis there is for oval kart racing with a commitment to win and provide support." As a former quarter-midget and sprint car racer, Rob is committed to never compromise on safety and does not cut any corners in the manufacturing process. Each kart sold comes with detailed set-up instructions for squaring up the kart, setting toe-out, scaling, and recommendations for setting caster/camber and cross weight. Factory support is just a phone call away from Jeff Hoisington or Dave Fisher if any questions arise. Factory support will also be available at most of the WKA Speedway Pavement Series national events this year.

Their karts are made from TIG welded 4130 chrome-moly steel and feature castor, camber, KPI, Ackerman, and ride height adjustability. Their nerf bars and bumpers are made from polished stainless-steel which is stronger and resists chipping better than painted mild steel components. Extra tabs are included on the frame for mounting weights. Seat position and steering height are adjustable. Custom color powder coating is also available. Their champ karts meet WKA certification specifications and include a WKA tag with the serial number attached. The safety record of their champ karts has been excellent.

The manufacturing facility at Nervo/Coggin includes a CNC controlled Pines tube bender which allows for producing a more consistent and predictable chassis. The welding fixtures and frame jigs were developed by Dave Fisher, father of IRL competitor Sarah Fisher. Dave brings extensive experience to the company with his background in open-wheel car construction. The welding procedures utilized strictly follow the prescribed method of welding with regards to flexing of material. All of their welders are certified and specialize in tubular welding. They frequently cut frames to test and ensure their welding procedures are not inducing unwanted stresses into the frame.
