    • "Be Real" Campaign
      Adam Carlson is one of 30 children in Illinois chosen as a model for the "Be Real" program. The campaign, led by Gov. George Ryan and his wife, Laura Lynn, encourages junior high children to stay away from cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. Posters of Adam in his go-cart are circulating across the state as well as at Lisle Junior High School, where he's a sixth-grader.

    • Milford Street Race
      The 9th Annual PNC Bank sponsored Milford Grand Prix Black Top Kart Race had 172-entrees from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania competing in 15 classes on a 3/8-mile road coursed that weaved trough a McDonald's parking lot and two Bank parking lots October 20-21in Milford, DE.

    • Mid-State Kart Club
      The Mid-State Kart Club held their 2001 season awards banquet at the Riverton Eagles Club on November 3, 2001. Following a potluck dinner, club President Rusty Barnard presented trophies to all club participants whom qualified for year-end awards.

    • Burris Racing
      Burris has just released their new line of team racing jackets with sizes from kid's XS through XXL adult. The large Burris logo is embroidered on the front chest panel and shoulders in red and white on the black antron base jacket.

    • Stars of Tomorrow-Practice
      Official practice for the final event in the Championship Auto Racing Teams Stars of Tomorrow challenge began today at the Las Vegas Karting Center in Las Vegas, Nevada with both series titles and the payout of $20,000 in season-end points funds still to be decided.

    • Stars of Tomorrow-Qualifying
      Four heat race winners today helped set the odds in 125cc SuperPro Shifter Karts for Sunday's Championship Auto Racing Teams Stars of Tomorrow finals at Las Vegas Karting Center, while Dustin Courter claimed the Rotax Max pole for tomorrow's second feature event.

    • Stars of Tomorrow-Season Finale
      LAS VEGAS, NV (Nov. 11, 2001) - Starting from the pole, Scott Speed led wire-to-wire in today's Championship Auto Racing Teams Stars of Tomorrow season finale at Las Vegas Karting Center. It was the 18-year-old Californian's third victory in the four-race series, taking the championship and the top prizes in the richest day in US karting history.

    • Unlimited All-Stars
      Twenty drivers took on the challenge on October 6, 2001 at the Pittsburgh-area Naugle Speedway. Haddock Limited, B.R.E. Small Engines and J & J Racing, were the sponsors of the event. The entry list included champion drivers from a number of other tracks and series.

    • Woodbridge Kart Club
      At its annual meeting on November 7, 2001 the Woodbridge Kart Club membership elected a new Board of Directors for the 2002 season. Also announced at the November 7th meeting was the complete sellout of the WKC Awards Banquet.

    • ROTAX 24 Hr Int. Endurance Championships
      TCM Racing ( a world leader in motorsports consulting and event operations specializing in the karting industry ) and SSC Racing of Arkansas ( the national center for ROTAX MAX speedway racing programs) announce the opening of entries for the newest and most exciting motorsports event to come to North America in the 45 year history of kart racing.

    • Woodbridge Kart Club
      The Woodbridge Kart Club held it's 2001 'Sponsor's Recognition' and 'Championship Awards Banquet' at the Hampton Inn in Winchester Virginia on November 17, 2001. The evening was highlighted by a multi-media presentation of the 2001 WKC season and the introduction of all of the class champions of the year!

    • Franklin Motorsports
      Franklin Motorsports has been appointed the National Karting Distributor for PJ1 Products. The gear oil, chain oil, cable lubes and spray cleaners have been tested and successfully used by Franklin Team PCR and Alan Rudolph.

    • Kart Wharehouse
      Known to kart racing enthusiasts for over 30 years as a major wholesaler and owner of Kart Warehouse USA and John's Kart Shop, John Kozubik today officially launched a consumer direct site called www.KartWarehouseWorld.com.

    • KIC Video Release
      The Karting Industry Council (KIC) has released a new promotional video, "Introduction to the Exciting World of Karting". The video is ideal for individuals and organizations who are eager to learn about the affordable sport of kart racing, and also for dealers who wish to educate potential customers.

    • Rialto Airport Speedway Park
      The two-acre track has pits for all, with room for the biggest motor homes to the guy that shows up in his pickup. This is not only a track for go-karts, but also a place where you will find Radio controlled cars and mini-stock cars.

    • Sears Point Raceway
      Sears Point Raceway will feature a different kind of road-racing beginning with the 2002 season when it unveils its much anticipated state-of-the-art karting facility as part of its $50 million Modernization Plan. The Sears Point Karting Center is expected to be operational in March 2002.

    • Sheridan Design LLC
      Sheridan Racing Design LLC will cease production of the highly successful ShamrockTM CLL-2001 race karts on December 31, 2001. Sheridan Racing Design LLC will concentrate on the design, engineering and production of engine components for the new overhead valve engines that are coming into the karting market.
