"DeepSeat Inc. granted United States Patent"

BOYNTON BEACH, FL - After over two years of the patenting process, Charles Frear of DeepSeat Inc. was officially granted a United States Patent on November 13, 2001 for his product.

"We were able to design an effective product that provides a substantial improvement over what was previously available," said Frear. "It is certainly worth the cost of protecting it with a Patent."

The patent was issued in regard to the innovative design of the semi-wraparound style go-kart seat which Frear began work on in 1998. The DeepSeat has been used by many kart racers because of its comfortable design and is now offered as an upgrade by kart shops to their customers.

Frear added. "Besides that, now my wife has to put something good on my tombstone like 'inventor'."
