Tom and Faye Pierson started K & P Manufacturing in 1957. K & P is a family owned business that now has 10 employees including sons Tommy, Jon and grandson Tommy Jr.

The beginnings of K & P began when Tom and Faye purchased an original go-kart in kit form for Christmas for kids. However, Faye could not stop racing it. This led Tom and Faye to begin making chassis in the family's garage. They quickly moved to a building in Azusa in the early part of 1958. Here they fabricated all karting parts and had an assembly line that pumped out karts at a record clip of 200-250 karts a day. Faye continued to race all around the country and internationally for the next three years.

K & P Manufacturing's hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-ins and phone orders are encourage. Call and order K & P's catalog at a cost of only $1.
