LORTON, VA. -- KSF Racing is a full service kart shop that specializes in 2-cycle enduro and sprint racing. Along with specializing in Yamaha motors for the enduro and sprint racing efforts of karters across the country, KSF Racing is also a specialist in Horstman Axle clutches.

KSF racing has everything a kart racer would need to be a successful participant. Products from such manufacturers as Yamaha; Coyote; Digatron; Martin Custom Products; Enginetics Brake Corporation; Pfeiffer; SMC; Gearbox Racing Products; Horstman and many, many more.

KSF uses top of the line equipment to ensure they deliver the highest quality motors to their customers. They use an engine dyno for tuning and engine break-in prior to reaching the track. A drill press, lathe and electronic scales are on hand to ensure a grade A product is produced.

KSF Racing also provides a lease program where customers can have a fresh competitive blueprinted motor every race weekend for a reasonable fee.

There is more to winning than just a high quality motor, and KSF Racing knows that. KSF Racing focuses on one-on-one customer service. This service is especially seen at the track where it can matter most. KSF Racing's number one priority is customer service. This can be seen in the way they conduct business and treat all of their customers.

KSF racing doesn't just sell a motor and then forget about it. It has complete records of every motor it has built. This reinforces one of the top objectives of KSF Racing. "We strive to get people interested in kart racing," said Dedra Kassy, one of the owners of KSF Racing.

KSF Racing is a proud sponsor of the Yamaha EX class at the Woodbridge Kart Club, and it is a national enduro sponsor for the World Karting Association.

Bill Kassy is a factory driver for KSF Racing. Bill participates in the WKA Enduro Series where he runs in the Yamaha Light and the Yamaha Medium classes. He also campaigns in the Maryland Karting Championship Series (MKCS) in the Yamaha Light Sprint classes. He looks forward to participating in the Formula Y (Yamaha Direct Drive class) being developed by the WKA.

KSF Racing provides sponsorship to several other drivers as well. Tom Beckman races at the Capital City dirt oval in Ashland. After numerous wins this season, Beckman will move up to the Stock Heavy class, and plans to race several WKA events next season.

Richard Rawlings is also a factory driver for KSF Racing. Rawlings races a Yamaha Sportsman Lite and Medium in the WKA national series. Rawlings ran a KSF Lease motor all season and came close to winning several events. Rawlings had several top five finishes, with his best finish being a third at the Charlotte Grand National Event on Labor Day weekend on a KSF motor.

Ron Miller has also participated in the KSF Lease motor this season. Miller recently completed his first year of racing. He purchased a Coyote Enduro from KSF Racing this Spring. With this package, and direction from KSF Racing, he greatly improved this season. Miller went from flying off the track on the opening laps, to completing a full race to finally finishing in the top 10 consistently at the end of the season.

KSF Racing offers on-site services at most WKA Enduro events, and all Woodbridge Kart Club events at Summit Point Raceway. Their fully stocked trailer is always on hand to provide service to the racer. In addition they also provide mounting and balancing of tires to racers at the track. For those racers using the KSF Lease Motors program, they always have a fresh motor at the track in case of the unexpected.

KSF Racing is owned by Dedra and Bill Kassy. It employs several racers and non-racers to help out at the track on race weekends. Bill Kassy is a member of the Board of Directors of the Woodbridge Kart Club. This club is one of the most successful clubs in the United States.

KSF Racing opened its doors in October 1994 in hopes of filling a void in the Washington Metropolitan area. It has now expanded to serve the national karting arena as well.

KSF Racing offers walk-in service to our local customers, as well as daily UPS shipping throughout the United States and Europe.

The store hours are 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 5:30 -8 on Tuesday; 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. -Noon on Saturday if they are not racing.

KSF Racing currently does an extensive mail order business to racers and engine builders, and they hope to offer a catalog in the near future.
