Competition Karting offers Briggs & Stratton and Yamaha engines. They also offer sprint and enduro karts, a full line of parts, racewear and accessories.

Competition Karting specializes in 4-cycle engine service. They are also well known for the CKI, LTO and LTD off-set oval chassis. When you buy a product from Competition Karting you know you are dealing with racers. Mike Dowell, the chassis fabricator, and Eddie Mishue, the engine builder, are both drivers. Robin Bradshaw, the shop foreman, is the crew chief.

Whatever parts a racer needs they can find it at Competition Karting. Competition carries Horstman products, Ratech clutches, Van-K wheels, Bridgestone and Dunlop tires, Burris products, Simpson products, Digatron, Klotz fuel, Wiseco pistons and many many more.

Competition Karting sponsors the WKA Speedway Dirt and Pavement Division, along with the North Carolina Divisional Dirt Series.

Competition Karting has a parts trailer with parts and fuel at the North Carolina Speedway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway events.

Dan Klutz and Lewis Dowell are the owners of Competition Karting which began business in 1959. Competition Karting started as a McCulloch chain saw dealer when they began to build karting engines.

Competition Karting's hours on Monday are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday they are 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
